Tropical Break!

I don’t know about you pandas, but sometimes even being covered with fur isn’t enough to keep this Red Panda warm! I am excited for this
warm spell to hit Pandanda - at least for a little while. That’s why I’ve planned a Tropical Break!
Tropical Break begins tomorrow, Tuesday, and goes until Monday, February 7th. It will be a chance to thaw out and let the toasty sun warm us up.
So get dressed up in your tropical, warm-weather clothes and head to the Beach. There will be special decorations, music, and 1 extra Quest each day!
If you don't have any summer wear, stop by Mr. Elmhurst on West Market Street. He's got some bathing suits and snorkel equipment for sale!

A quick reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, January 29th, is Free Elite Member Day!
That means everyone who logs in on Saturday will have full access to all of Pandanda's Elite Membership features! You can use
your Pandanda coins to buy anything in the Pandanda Collection clothes catalog! Or purchase any furniture in the House & Tree
catalog and unlock your tree house to have friends over! You can even adopt a pet dragon!
This event is for one day only starting on Saturday at 12:01am PST and ending Saturday at 11:59pm PST so don't miss out!

All of you know that I want you to keep your accounts safe, so you can keep on having fun in Pandanda.
I received a question the other day that I want to share with you all. It is about a problem that seems to be happening more and more.

Dear Sheriff Steele,
Someone in Pandanda told me that if I tell them my password, they will get me a free Elite membership. Somebody else said they would
give me millions of coins if I tell them my password. I really want to be an Elite member! Is it ok to tell them my password?

Dear Confused,
No, it is not ok to tell them your password. If you tell your password to someone, they can go on your account and do whatever they want.
They could sell all of your things, delete all of your friends, and even get your account banned. If this happens, it is your responsibility.
Pandanda will not be able to give your items back to you or restore your friends list.
It is impossible for anyone to give you millions of coins. And the offer to buy you an Elite membership is probably not true.
You have no way to know for sure if they are telling the truth, or if they are just trying to get your account. Do you want to risk losing your account forever?
Please, do not let anyone convince you to tell them your password. Another player told me that someone said they would ban him if he
didn’t tell them his password. That is also impossible. No player can ban another player, even if they send lots of reports. Only Moderators and I can ban players.
Be smart and safe, my panda friends! Keep your password to yourself, and change it soon if you have ever told it to anyone.

Today’s Mod Q&A is all about Moderator Jozie. Jozie has been a Pandanda Mod since
waaaay back in Beta, so I bet a lot of you are familiar with her!
Do you have any Dragons?
• Yup! I have 4: Lumos who is a silver dragon, Nox who is a black dragon, Charm who is an Easter dragon and Jinx, a purple dragon.

• It’s still Christmasy. I haven’t decided what to do next yet. Any suggestions?
What is your favorite Outfit?
• I love love love my new purple princess dress from Questy. Next favorite would have to be the Wizard robes.
What is your favorite Color?
• Purple
Which minigame is your favorite?
• Dragon’s Treasure
Would you rather chase Bunnies or hunt Ghosts?
• Bunnies. Bunnies are way cuter than Ghosts :p
What was your favorite Festival?
• I love Halloween, so the Pumpkin Festival has been my favorite so far, but if March of the Snowmen were a festival, that one would be my favorite. I love love love snowmen!
What is your favorite Quest?
• Ohhh that’s a hard one! I think my favorites are the new snowmen-based quests!
What is your favorite room in Pandanda?
• Pawthorne Forest. It’s so pretty and peaceful!
What is the best thing about being a Moderator?
• Getting to meet all of the pandas in Pandanda. There are a LOT of really fun players!
What is the hardest thing about being a Moderator?
• Not being able to help everyone. It’s fun to be able to chat with everyone, but there are a lot of pandas to check on, so I do have to keep moving around.
What do you like to do when you are not Moderating?
• Read, listen to music and watch movies.
What makes you smile in Pandanda?
• Pandas helping other pandas … and pandas using the snowman potion! hehe
Is there anything else you would like to say to Pandanda land?
• Follow the rules. They’re there to make the game fun for everyone. And it gives me more time to chat with you all ;)

March of the Snowmen!

What goes “Wacka wacka woooooo?” A bunch of Manic Monday pandas, that’s what! I saw some really wild and crazy outfits
during my visits today, and I had a blast hanging out with everyone! Sheriff Steele says he had a great time, too! We will definitely
have to plan another Manic Monday sometime!
The March of the Snowmen begins tomorrow and goes until Thursday, January 27. There will be 2 extra Quests each day,
special decorations, and maybe, just maybe….Marching Snowmen!
And don’t forget to mark your calendar for the first Free Elite Member Day of 2011, Saturday, January 29. I’ll have more information about that soon!

Manic Monday!

All right, it’s time to get a little crazy in Pandanda! I declare Monday, January 17th as Manic Monday! Put on your craziest,
most mixed-up outfits and get ready for some fun! I want to see Pandanda covered in wild and wacky pandas!
I will be making some visits on Monday to hang out and join the fun. And I've even convinced Sheriff Steele to take time off from his safety patrols to pop in and say "Hi", too.
You can look for me between 9-10am Pandanda Time, and again between 1-2pm Pandanda Time. Watch for my tweets on Twitter - @PandandaHenry!
This will be a great warm-up for The March of the Snowmen, which begins on Tuesday the 18th. Hmmm….a warm-up might
not be such a good idea for snowmen. Oh well, I think it’s still quite cold enough in Pandanda to keep the snowmen frozen and happy!

The Moderators are there to help you. They answer questions, help enforce the rules, and make sure everyone is being safe and having fun!

Do you have any Dragons?
• I have two dragons - Skittles and Primavera. Skittles is pink and Primavera is the special Easter Festival edition lime green. Primavera means “spring” in several languages.

What is your treehouse like?
• Right now my treehouse looks like an outer space disco, with the moon surface floor, galaxy walls and ceiling, disco ball, and animated dance floor right in the middle!
What is your favorite Outfit?
• Wow, it’s hard to pick just one. I really enjoyed wearing the green elf suit, elf hat, and the red slip-on shoes with gold trim. But now that Christmas is over, I’m back to my yellow Mod uniform shirt.
What is your favorite Color?
• Red
Which minigame is your favorite?
• Dragon’s Treasure. I could play it for hours!
Would you rather chase Bunnies or hunt Ghosts?
• Bunnies, because they don’t freeze you. Brrrrr.
What was your favorite Festival?
• I loved the Harvest Festival, with all the beautiful autumn colors.
What is your favorite Quest?
• I can’t remember the exact name of it, but the Quest to find the escaped dragons was challenging and fun!
What is your favorite room in Pandanda?
• Farmer Ned’s Barn. It’s fun to go up in the loft and dance. Plus, the chickens make me laugh!
What is the best thing about being a Moderator?
• Getting to meet pandas from all over the world!
What is the hardest thing about being a Moderator?
• Not being able to answer everyone’s questions. So many pandas, and only one me!
What do you like to do when you are not Moderating?
• Read, read, read, read, read! I love books!
What makes you smile in Pandanda?
• Pandas being kind to each other, even when there is no Moderator in sight! Oh, and pandas using the bunny potion to play Bunny Chase - I laugh because I always try to catch them!
Is there anything else you would like to say to Pandanda land?
• Have fun, be nice, have fun, respect each other, have fun, keep your password private, and…umm…..have fun! -

Party Review and Welcome Back Zing!

Zing Ballyhoo has made it back to Pandanda after his Winter break. Unfortunately, he must have been really tired from his trip, because he
brought the wrong luggage! Thank you to everyone who reported that to us! We have fixed the problem, and Zing should now have a
BRAND NEW prize for your 10 Golden Tickets. Thanks for your patience!
A special shout-out to the pandas who made it to the Level 20 Elite Party and Level 34 pre-party on Saturday. My tree house was packed
with Super Questers! I shared some exciting information about things that are coming up in Pandanda. Here is just a peek - you can find out
more by visiting the blogs on the Blogroll:
- New Quests for the March of the Snowmen and Tropical Break
- New prizes during the Friendship Festival in February.
- A clothing catalog update later this month with more winter items.
- You will be able to fly your own dragon after you complete a special Level 50 Quest!
And maybe the most exciting of all, there is going to be a new opportunity, beginning later this month, for pandas to get Elite memberships
with a new in-game currency called Panda Gold! I will be giving you more information about it soon.
After the pre-party in my tree, I hung out with more Super Questers at Bear Hollow. Then we headed to the Purple Door, which we renamed
the Green Door since there was so much Panda Power Green in sight! Check out these pictures!

Super Questers and Zing’s Return

Wow, one week of the New Year has already gone by! I hope it was a great week for everyone.
We will get this weekend started with two exclusive parties for Elite Questers. At
11 AM Pandanda Time on Saturday, I invite all Elite pandas
who have reached Level 34 to meet me in my treehouse on Dogwood server for a special pre-party. I look forward to hearing your tales of Questing glory!
The Level 20 Elite party will begin at 11:30 AM, also on Dogwood server. Elite members who are at Level 20 and above should be able to start logging
into Dogwood shortly after 11:00 AM. The Level 34 pandas and I will join you at 11:30 AM for an awesome party all over Dogwood! Dress warmly; it’s going to be cold!
I see that Zing Ballyhoo’s Tent has already been set up in the Treehouse Lobby. Zing himself will return to Pandanda on Monday. He will hide Golden
Tickets all over Pandanda for you to collect each week. When you have 10 tickets, you can visit Zing at his tent and trade them for a prize. I wonder what
kind of marvelous prizes he will have this time?

of hard work goes in to them. They are listed down the left hand side on my blog, so check them out!

New Year, New Fun!

I hope everyone had a great New Year’s Day. I love the start of a new year - it means another 365 days of fun in Pandanda land!
Today is the last day of the Winter Festival, so if you still need to collect stocking stuffers and trade them to Chilly for his prizes,
you have until 11:59pm Pandanda Time today. I noticed some pandas were curious why there were oranges as stocking stuffers.
It is a tradition in lots of families to put an orange in the toe of each child’s Christmas stocking. It fits perfectly, and makes a tasty and nutritious treat!
Have you checked out the Pandanda Calendar for January yet? Zing Ballyhoo returns from his travels with exciting new prizes on the 10th,
followed by The March of the Snowmen from the 18th through the 27th. Watch my blog for more information about that in a few weeks!
Then it will be time for another Free Elite Member Day on the 29th, when everyone gets to experience what it is like to be an Elite Member
for one incredible day! Oh, and for you Elite Questers, make sure to mark your calendar for the Level 20 Elite Party on Saturday the 8th at
11:30am Pandanda Time. And if you are one of the small group of pandas who have reached Level 34 by Saturday, you get to party with
