Pets, Halloween Items and Halloween Party!

Happy Halloween Panda Ghosts and Goblins,
Lots of things to tell you this evening including tips on caring for your pet, new Halloween items that everyone can buy, and our Mega Halloween Party on Saturday.
Caring for pets:
If you have been caring for your Dragon eggs, pretty soon your egg will completely hatch. Here are some additional hints and tips for caring for your new Pet.
Once your Dragon has hatched (OMG they are so cute! ) you will need to feed it and walk it to build up its strength and ensure it stays happy. Then after the excitement of being out and about, you will want to make sure it gets plenty of rest.

If you look at the Dragon’s pet card you will see the levels for happiness, rest and strength. You will also see the levels of ability your dragon has. Newly hatched Dragons will be able to eat, rest and go for walks.
Over time with exercise, food and love, your Dragon will develop the ability to jump on command, dance, fly and eventually even breathe fire. But you must care for it – it will go hungry if you don’t check in on it often.
Feeding your pet Flint Nibbles before it can breathe fire will cause them to burp smoke only (but hey, at least they are trying!)
Halloween Items!
Mr. Elmhurst on West Market Street just got in a shipment of Halloween items that everyone can buy, including an enchanted T-Shirt from Trixie Trimble. He'll only be selling them for a limited time so check it out while you can.
Party This Saturday!
This Saturday we will be having our Mega Halloween Party. Every Panda who attends will get a free, super Halloween item. But there’s more…there will also be a random drawing give away of an Elite Membership for one lucky Panda who is attending the party. (More details tomorrow and regular contest rules apply.) I will be attending the Party at noon Pacific Daylight Saving Time, and I’ve included a table of times from around the world below so everyone will know what time that is. We’ll also be taking additional pictures to add to our Historic Launch Week picture collection. I can’t wait and you won’t want to miss it.

The Player Card Drawing Contest!

Hi Pandas,
Today I'm super excited to kick off our latest contest - the Player Card Drawing Contest.
This contest is to design and submit a drawing of
a player card background using the template provided. We are leaving the theme open so that you can draw anything you think would make a great background, while still following the rules of course. Your original drawing can be hand drawn or created on a computer. The entry however must be emailed to us in
the format of a digital image (in one of the following formats: jpg, gif, tiff, bmp, pdf, png).
Hand drawn images will need to be scanned into your computer or turned into a digital picture using a digital camera
so they can be emailed to us.

Prizes:
There will be one Grand Prize.
The Grand Prize winner will have their design turned into an actual player card background by our graphic artists to be used in the game.
The _really_ cool part is that the winning design will feature the winning Panda's name on the card - which could even make your Panda pretty famous - who knows?
The winner will be announced on Saturday November 7th in my blog and the new Player Card Background will be freely given away to every Panda during the following week.
We recommend you use the template as it shows the placement of where the Panda image shows up on top of the Player Card and how it will cover the design.
To submit your drawing (have your parent or guardian help you):
- Read and obey the rules. Entering the competition means that you and your parent/guardian agree to the rules. If you are under 13 years old, please ask your parent or guardian to review them with you, along with our website terms of use specifically with regard to the use of submissions you send to us.
- Ask your parent or guardian to email your drawing to contest@pandanda.com from their email address, the one they used when they signed you up for Pandanda.
- Type the words "Player Card Drawing Contest" in the subject line of the email.
- Type your Panda name in the text of the email for example "Panda Name: Paige."
- Do NOT include your real name, house address or phone number.
- Email your entry to Pandanda to receive it no later than Friday, November 6th at 11:59pm, Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Launch Day 2009

Hi Pandas,
All I can say is WOW.
What an awesome Launch day!
Festivities started at midnight last night and will continue all through Halloween.
Thousands of our awesome Panda players were maxing out our servers all day long.
Pandas were enjoying their new gear, cooing over their new dragon eggs and off in search of a hidden launch item.
Sheriff and I arrived on the scene shortly after midnight and partied with Pandas from all over the world.
Then again today Sheriff, all of our favorite Mods and I were partying on each of the servers which lasted hours.

We danced to the street music, took tons of pictures for my blog and launch day collection and even checked out the haunted mansion together (which was kind of scary I can tell you, but it’s so perfect for Halloween). I gave a sneak preview of my upcoming player card competition that could make one lucky Panda quite famous.
It was an absolutely great day - and so great to see so many of our awesome Panda players.
I hope you all enjoyed it too.

Hey Everyone!
Today is the last day of Beta. October 24th is the official launch day and there will be celebrations all day long! Sheriff Steele and I will be visiting all around Pandanda throughout the day as well as your favorite moderators!
There will be new locations, new clothes, new furniture, pets, and lots of excitement!
And don't forget, everyone who logs in on Saturday the 24th will receive a special launch celebration item for their Panda. Show everyone you were there the day Pandanda officially launched!
I've added a countdown timer to the top of the blog so everyone will know exactly when launch day starts. It will only show the right time if your clock is right on your computer. Just prior to launch the website will be offline for the last hour as our servers are updated and you will see a maintenance page.

As bloggers, we try to make Pandanda better each and every day, by making Pandanda fun and a better place for all. We try to do our best and to come up with ideas to have fun, ultimately wanting to show our appreciation to our fans.
And here is our Puzzle Contest story from my perspective.: Ok so, we kinda had a team plan going on so Kevinice looked for pieces, Blowsight and myself were assembling the puzzles and some help from fans too with encouragement. And then we were all shaking in fear and excitement because we were panicking I guess on who is going to win.
I think Blowsight was about to lose her mind at one point (it was hilarious!) but we helped her through it! ;-P Most of the pressure was on me because I had the e-mail ready while Blowsight, was finding puzzle P so then we had to publish it ASAP. Our hearts were racing with adrenaline so I was kind of relieved to send
the e-mail but the thought of knowing who won got to me so I was scared for a while. Then this morning, I was really scared to get on the computer, because I didn't want to see who won. But I got tempted and went on the computer anyways then I got hyper for a moment. So I looked on twitter first and saw that I had a lot
of replies. And they were all like YOU WON! Then I hesitated and thought in my mind I won!? So then I checked Henry's blog.... My mother was acting like
she didn't notice me going crazy, lol. Then I had to go off to another day of school, it was a good way to start off my day."
What a great story.

Hey all, it's getting really close to the end of the puzzle contest. I can't wait to see who will win!!! I will release the last piece of the puzzle tomorrow Tuesday 20th at 8:00p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.
Remember, contest players will need to find all of the puzzle pieces first (you have to find them) and then send the correct order of the pieces or the completed picture in email. I've got some exciting news! Today I’m delighted to announce that we are having a Pandanda Puzzle Contest where we are giving away Elite memberships as prizes!
Here's how it works: There are 16 puzzle pieces labeled A through P, that when assembled show a sneak peek of one of the new locations in Pandanda after we launch (I can't wait!).
The pieces will be released starting today and during the coming week.
The first piece "A" is right here to start you off and the rest of the pieces will be hidden around the web pages of www.pandanda.com, my blog , and who knows where they might show up over the next few days....

The contest is to collect all of the puzzle pieces and either, email the completed puzzle image or email the right order of the pieces to the address shown below for your chance to win one of the prizes. There's an exciting twist in the competition for bloggers too. The winners will be announced on Oct. 22nd in my blog.

Today as part of our preparations for our big launch on October 24th you will see some new construction on West Market Street. We're really

building was completely refurbished to make way for this new pet store, and will likely return to another location at a future date.
Our launch date is only a few short weeks away but already I can't wait to announce our new pets and adopt my first one.. or two .. or three.
